On September 11th, 2018, USSH held an exchange event between students of its Faculty of International Relations and Faculty of Oriental Studies and students from Tama University

At the event, on behalf of the delegation from Tama University, Prof. Hiroki Hashizume (School of Global Studies) expressed his gratitude for being warmly welcomed by USSH. He also sent remarks to all the Vietnamese students. He hoped this event would help students of the two universities understand each other better and be the basis for further bilateral cooperation.

Next, students of the School of Global Studies presented about the city of Fujisawa, its role in preparing for the Tokyo Summer Olympics 2020, Japan's famous landscapes, and sailing, the most popular recreational activity in Fujisawa. As a co-organizer of the Olympics, the city of Fujisawa faces some challenges such as the differences between local and international cultural lifestyles, traffic issues, climatic differences, and recruiting volunteers. In response, it also devises useful solutions such as improving infrastructure, growing more trees, improving communications with foreign tourists, and creating benefits for the volunteers.

Apart from Fujisawa, Japan has some famous places worth visiting such as the Asakusa ancient temple and Sky Tree in Tokyo, the Golden Pavilion and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, the Osanbashi in Yokohama and Komachi Dori Street in Kamakura. The Japanese students hoped to welcome the Vietnamese friends at the above sites in the future.

After a short and jubilant game session, the Vietnamese students presented about USSH's history, mission, vissions and extra-curricular activities. Next they introduced some recreational and entertainment sites in Hanoi in English; most special was the presentation on the Middle Autumn Festival in Japanese. They concluded with a video introducing the top 10 tourist attractions in Vietnam.
