The course lasted from September 4th to January 31st, 2019 with the participation of both Vietnamese and foreign students, including some students from America, Spain and Ireland. The students will be given lectures on such issues as the Humanitarian Leadership Programme, international relations in humanitarian affairs in responding to disasters-ASEAN experiences, anthropology and the cultural dimension of humanitarian action. Next, students will engage in an internship for three months and later write a report. The lecturers come from USSH and some international non-governmental organizations such as World Vision Vietnam, Oxfam Vietnam, and Vietnam Red Cross.
Speaking at the opening session, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) sent his remarks to all the students, especially the foreign ones. He said as a member of VNU - Hanoi, USSH was promoting the strategy of internationalization, therefore the reception of foreign students was a prioritized task. The Rector hoped the foreign students will have a memorable time studying and doing research here. He also invited them to the USSH's Opening Ceremony of the Academic year 2018-2019 held on September 27th.

Last year, on May 19th, 2017, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh on behalf of USSH signed an MOU with the representative of NOHA. Accordingly, the two sides would form mutual relationship based on academic, scientific and cultural cooperation. The fields of cooperation between NOHA and USSH include exchanges of students, lecturers and researchers; providing courses on humanitarian action and collaborate in publications and research projects.
