Accordingly, VNU is the first higher education institution in Vietnam and in the top 201 – 250, followed by Hanoi University of Science and Technology in the top 251 - 300 and VNU HCMC in the top 401 - 500.
This ranking is based on the THE’s 13 performance indicators, evaluating universities on teaching, research, knowledge transferring and international outlook, and are adjusted to reflect the development priorities of universities in emerging economies
Emerging economies are classified by the London Stock Exchange’s FTSE Group.
Previously, according to the result of the World University Rankings 2020 announced at the THE World Academic Summit held in Zurich (Switzerland) on September 11, 2019, VNU and two other Vietnam’s higher education institutions were, for the first time, listed among nearly 1,400 world-leading universities. In this ranking, VNU and Hanoi University of Science and Technology featured in the world’s top 801-1000, followed by VNU HCMC in the top 1000+.
