Participating in the seminar were delegates from the General Staff, Political Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard; Ha Dong District's Youth Union, Women's Association, and Military Staff Committee; local authorities of Nguyen Trai ward (Kien Hung, Ha Dong District); staff, teachers and students of USSH; and staff, teachers and students of a number of schools at Ha Dong District. The honorary guest was Dr.Tran Bach Hieu - lecturer of USSH.
This seminar was one of the activities celebrating the World Book and Copyright Day and Vietnam's Book Day aimed at improving the awareness among the Center's staff, teachers and soldiers and the staff, teachers and students of several schools in the area of the importance of reading books in developing knowledge and thinking capacity, living skills and character development.
The discussions in the seminar focused on such topics as: What is reading culture? What is its meaning to social development? What is the current reality of reading culture among people especially the youth? How is it important and how does it influence the improvement of professional skills, especially pedagogical skills, the standardization of teachers and education managers? What are the similarities and differences between the reading culture of the Vietnamese and those of other people in the world? What are the solutions for developing reading culture in today's society? How does reading culture manifest in the 4th Industrial Revolution?

The seminar helped the delegates and youngsters develop a better understanding of reading culture among the Vietnamese nowardays and recognize the importance of reading books, thereby stimulating the passion and interest in this activity in each individual.
