At the meeting, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh introduced about USSH as a leading institution specializing in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. Regarding international cooperation, the University has signed MOUs with over 400 international partners, including universities from Thailand such as Burapha University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University and Kasetsart University. Thai students account for the largest ratio of Southeast Asian students at USSH. USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies has been teaching Thai language as an official language. In the coming time, the University hopes to conduct lecturer and student exchanges with Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University.
On behalf of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, Assoc.Prof.Dr Artima Pantunyanon expressed her gratitude for being warmly welcomed by USSH. Also visiting USSH with the delegation were 7 excellent students from Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, who will engage in cultural performances and exchanges at USSH. Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University would also like to extend the official MOU signed between the two universities in 2010.
Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the idea of holding artistic exchanges and performances by Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University. The Rector said this would be a good opportunity for students to get to know each other and apply the knowledge they gained from classrooms. The Rector also invited students of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University to participate in the Oriental Night, an event held by USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies every 2.5 years.
Located in Pathum Thani, Thailand, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University was founded in 1932 and named after the founder, Her Royal Highness Princess Valaya Alongkorn. It has 7 faculties: Education, Agriculture Technology, Industrial Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Science and Technology, Public Heath, and a Graduate School and College of Innovative Management.
