At the meeting, Mr. Yamakawa Kaoru informed about the plan to hold the 3-lesson tea ceremony course for students of USSH's Division of Japanese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies) at the Urasenke tea room at FPT Hanoi's headquarters. The course will tentatively take place on October 1st, 8th, and 15th-2019 and deal with tea ceremony and Japanese culture, tea ceremony and Zen, basic tea ceremony rituals, and kimono dressing skills. After the course, students will be granted certificates by the Urasenke Foundation.

On behalf of USSH, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated this idea, which he said would contribute to promoting Japanese culture among USSH's students in particular and Vietnamese youth in general. It would also signify the increasingly closer cultural relations between Vietnam and Japan. Thus, the University committed to providing the best conditions to realize this idea and would pick the best students majoring Japanese studies to participate in this event.

Urasenke is one the main Tea ceremony schools in Japan with a history of 400 years. Its membership currently spans nearly 100 countries in the world. In Vietnam, on October 14th, 2018, FPT Hanoi and the Japanese Chado Association opened the first Japanese tea room in Vietnam. On March, 28th, 2019, 31 students of Faculty of Oriental Studies had a chance to experience the tea ceremony sessions there.
