At the meeting, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh introduced about USSH - a member university within VNU Hanoi, with an emphasis on its strategy of internationalization. One of USSH' s international cooperative activity is organizing summer schools with the participation of both Vietnamese and international students, such as the Global Politics Course 2019 co-held with Free University of Berlin (German). The Rector hoped USSH would be able to conduct the same activities with Langara College.
Prof. Avram Agov highly appreciated the goodwill of USSH. Based on the idea of Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh, he suggested holding summer courses in topics related to Vietnam's history, politics, economy and culture with the participation of students of both sides. Apart from classroom sessions, the two sides can take students to visit some enterprises of different scales in Vietnam. The goal is to combine business experiences with knowledge of the home countries in Southeast Asia and Asia as a whole, including Vietnam, so as to make comparisons between Vietnam's business environment and that of other regional countries.

Representatives of the two sides are going to discuss more about the details of the suggested courses. This will be the first step towards other cooperative activities such as exchanging lecturers and researchers.
Langara College was established in 1964 as part of the Vancouver Community College and in 1994, it was established as an independent public college . It receives over 21,000 students every year, including international students from many parts around the world. Its programs are split into 5 clusters: Arts, Business, Health, Humanities & Social Services, and Science & Technology.
