In September, 2018, the Global Young Challenger Program sponsored by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra), Korea University of Foreign Studies and Shinhan Financial Group was created to allow South Korea youth to work overseas. This year, it has brought 49 South Korean students to USSH, VNU Hanoi to study Vietnamese language and culture so that they are better prepared to work and integrate with Vietnam's society.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr Hoang Anh Tuan shared about the core values of USSH, affirming the University's respect for the preservation and promotion of cultural traditions and historical and humanistic knowledge and the continued improvement of activities towards global integration. Vietnam and South Korea are currently comprehensive strategic partnerships and USSH has close relations with many South Korean universities and organizations. The University is grateful for becoming a partner of the Global Young Challenger Program that helps South Korean youngsters have a more thorough and correct understanding of the professional environments in Vietnam. USSH would like to continue extending cooperation with Shinhan Group and other South Korean corporations, businesses, development groups and universities.
In response, Mr. Cho Yong Byong said Shinhan Group is especially interested in developing its activities in Vietnam. When operating in this country, Shinhan Group not only pursues profitable goals but also wants to provide values such as the sustainable and humanistic development of communities and society. To this end, Shinhan is going to work closely for common development with its Vietnamese partners, including USSH, VNU Hanoi.
