Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Khanh was very pleased to welcome Mrs. Wade-Brown and Prof Calia. Roberto Rabel. He said that USSH is a leading institution of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. Many well-known leaders, politicians in Vietnam were alumni of the University. The University aims at further improving the quality of training, research and internationalization of its curriculum. Therefore, USSH would like to receive the support and assistance from foreign partners such as Victoria University of Wellington. Besides, the Rector said the two sides share a high level of cooperation as reflected in the exchanges of students and lecturers. Many faculty members of USSH have the opportunity to study at Victoria University of Wellington.

Mrs Wade-Brown Calia was delighted to have been warmly welcomed at USSH. According to her, this event also contributes to the relations between Vietnam and New Zealand especially as two countries were about to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations. As one of the universities of New Zealand, Victoria University of Wellington was also very eager to learn from USSH. Mrs Wade-Brown Calia also sent her greetings to the Rector and all of USSH's staff.
During the meeting, the two sides also re-signed the MOU signed in 2011.

Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) is one of the most prestigious and oldest universities of New Zealand's established since 1897. It is particularly well known for its programs in law, the humanities, and some scientific disciplines, and offers a broad range of other courses.
