This year, USSH awarded Doctoral Degrees to 30 research fellows that had successfully completed doctoral programs and defended their dissertations. There were 15 disciplines: Journalism, Political Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Archival Studies, Comparative Linguistics, Languages of Vietnamese ethnic minorities, Psychology, Religious Studies, Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism, Scientific Socialism, Vietnamese Literature, Literary Theory, and Sociology. In particular, USSH is the first Vietnamese institution to conduct PhD training in Science and Technology Management since 2013, and after 4 years the major’s first PhD student has received doctoral degree.
The University also awarded Master's degrees to 265 graduates of 17 majors. In particular, the specific major of Vietnamese Studies has been delivered at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language since 2015 and for the first time has produced a Master, who comes from China.

Congratulating the new Masters and Doctors, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (USSH’s Rector) said he was deeply moved to see the joy and pride in the eyes of teachers, relatives and families of the degree holders. All the effort of teachers and learners was sufficiently rewarded and honored in the ceremony. It is the success of new graduates that contributed to USSH’s academic and training achievements as well as international integration.
