The U.S. Mission to Vietnam seeks candidates for the fall 2017 YSEALI Academic Fellows Program on civic engagement, environmental issues, and social entrepreneurship and economic development. Vietnamese citizens between the ages of 18 and 25, full-time undergraduate students or those who have graduated from college, university, or other institutions of higher learning, who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and potential in their university or place of work, an interest in community service and volunteerism, and have a good command of English, are invited to apply for the program.
All participant costs, including program administration, international and domestic travel and ground transportation, book, cultural, mailing and incidental allowances, housing and subsistence expenses will be paid for by the U.S. Department of State.
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the prestigious ” Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development” to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas. The award, under the patronage of Minister Professor Johanna Wanka, honours young researchers each year.
In 2017 the award has a focus on “Sustainable Production and Consumption” and this year’s Science Forum, taking place in October, will integrate sustainability hot spots in Germany related to this theme.
Applications are invited for the ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop in Incheon and Seoul on July 3 – 8, 2017. Participants will engage in different activities such as lectures, discussions, team-building and cultural activities, and site visits. All expenses related to the program will be shouldered by the ASEAN-Korea Centre.
18 ASEAN students and 18 Korean students will be invited to take part in the activities at the Korea Program. Candidates must:
be ASEAN or Korean citizens residing in Korea
be undergraduate or graduate students (Korean language/어학당, master’s and doctoral students are eligible.)
have interest in ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea relations
The 20th session of the Youth Assembly at the United Nations presents both an enormous opportunity and a challenge to stimulate and ensure youth engagement and participation in achieving an inclusive and sustainable future where no one is left behind.
A fully sponsored delegate place to attend the 2017 Summer Youth Assembly at the United Nations in New York. The scholarship winner will also be given the opportunity to speak at the podium during the conference.
