Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Khanh visited and worked in Mexico

From May 14th to 20th, the delegation of University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), VNU led by Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector), had a working visit to Mexico with the aim of establishing cooperative relations in higher education and scientific studies.

During the visit, the delegation met with the Institute for Social Research of the University of National Autonomy of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City and University of Emilio Zapata of the Mexican Labor Party in Monterrey city, the capital city of Nuevo Leon, to discover the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the mutually concerning areas.

At the meetings, the leaders of Mexican universities expressed their gratefulness for the great potentials of bilateral cooperation and concern for the opportunities that were brought to by this visit of the USSH delegation in the areas such as teaching and training, exchanging lecturers and students, publishing textbooks and holding bilateral and international workshops, and implementing joint-research projects.

The two sides vowed to finish the signing of the Agreement under the framework of the cooperation agreement in culture, education and sports signed by the Vietnamese and Mexican Governments.  

Senator Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, General Secretary of the Mexican Labor Party and President of the Mexican – Vietnamese Group of Senators, expressed his gratitude for the new cooperation area between Mexico and Vietnam as well as the results of this visit.

He suggested the two sides establish the plan for cooperation in 2015 and the next years as soon as possible to consolidate and extend mutual and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

On behalf of the Mexican Labor Party and the Mexican – Vietnamese Group of Senators, Mr. Alberto Anaya Gutierrez also pledged to sponsor the activities in these said areas.

On the sideline, the delegation also visited the Ho Chi Minh monument, some historical, cultural and educational institutions in Mexico City and the Vietnam Embassy to Mexico.
