The seminar is aimed at introducing to young lecturers new teaching methods and the factors that influence teaching methods in higher education today. It was also expected to foster an academic forum for young lecturers at the University to share real experiences in applying these methods. The most important factor is the compatibility of teaching methods with the psychological features and values of modern students.

Speaking at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh emphasized this is an especially important event because its topics are associated with the daily professional tasks of all the lecturers. Young lecturers and scholars are expected to take a flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, while taking a “student-oriented approach” in the context and conditions of Vietnam. As USSH undergoes changes, reformed teaching methods are likely one of the important factors in improving the training quality of the University and contributing to its development as a research-based university.

The seminar was held with two topics: the values of contemporary students and their impact on the teaching methods in higher education; some efficient teaching methods in higher education.
