At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan discussed the current situation of the University, with an emphasis on the long-term cooperation with the Iranian Embassy and a long history of Iranian studies. The Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University had organized a number of seminars, cultural events, and exhibitions to introduce the people and country of Iran, and held Persian language courses for students. The University wants to continue expanding its relations with the Iranian Embassy and universities in Tehran.

Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari expressed his pleasure at USSH's warm welcome and acknowledged the University's efforts in promoting the teaching and study of Persian culture and language. He said the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam is always ready to support the University in connecting with Iranian universities, upgrading its Iran room, promoting the exchange of Iranian and Vietnamese lecturers and scholars, and providing scholarships to students specializing in Iranian studies. He also invited USSH's Board of Rectors to visit Iran to share educational experiences.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the goodwill shown by Ambassador Ali Akbar Nazari. The Rector remarked the University would take advantage of the support from the Iranian Embassy to promote relations with its partners. In addition, with its Faculty of Oriental Studies specializing in Iranian studies, USSH will certainly be a reliable address to promote Iranian history, culture and language to the Vietnamese public.
